As you
all know, our big holiday event: The Thanksgiving Feast was a huge success. On this joyous event, we catered eight tables
of about four senior citizens each (that’s about 40 seniors) At the American Legion hall. As more people showed up,
our own Kidz Care volunteers acted as waiters and led the guests to their seats. Once everyone was in place, seniors started
ordering. Kidz Care “waiters” collected food, kindly given to us by Boston Market at a low price, from the buffet
and brought it to the seniors on plates. We served traditional Thanksgiving meals. Mashed
potatoes, gravy, stuffing, Corn and of course, Turkey! As for drinks, wine, coke, sprite water and coffee were served. Decorating
the American legion hall were the wonderful turkeys we made at the last meeting. The seniors were constantly being cared for
by our waiters (who eventually got to eat some of the leftovers.) Music was put on and some couples even enjoyed a dance!
Hopefully, our next event will go as perfectly as this one!!!!
